CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE R.K.GAUBA

O R D E R

% 25.04.2017 Ms. Tushti, advocate appearing with the petitioner and the petitioner in person have been heard. The petitioner describes himself to be a candidate who had contested the municipal elections in Delhi for which ballots were cast on 23.04.2017. He alleges various offences having been committed in the course of such process. He also alleges that he had lodged several complaints with different authorities but no action was taken.

By the present petition, invoking the writ jurisdiction of this court, he seeks a direction to the effect of staying the counting of W.P.(CRL) 1204/2017

votes for ward 69S and for inquiry by Central Bureau of Investigation to be conducted against one Ranjeet Yadav, a candidate at the said election.

To say the least, the petition is wholly misconceived. The petitioner will have to first pursue the appropriate remedies under the law respecting the complaints alleging misconduct or commission of acts constituting offences before the appropriate authorities. The petition is dismissed.
