The petitioner‟s grievance is that the Central Administrative Tribunal by the impugned order directed the pending applications (OA Nos.1159/2016, 1453/2016 and 1873/2016) to be listed on 17.01.2020.

Learned counsel for respondent appearing on advance notice submits that the petitioner‟s request for early hearing of these proceedings filed in 2016 was acceded to but after more than one and a half hour of hearing, when the petitioner was asked to confine his submissions, he insisted that he would require one hour more for each

application.

This Court is of the opinion that CAT should reconsider and fix the dates of hearing at its earliest convenience, preferably, within two months from today. This is subject to the condition that the petitioner confines his submissions to overall time limit of one hour and provided he furnishes written submissions not exceeding 10 pages in each application, at least one week before the date of hearing fixed for final hearing, with advance copies duly served upon the respondent. The parties are directed to be present before the concerned Bench of CAT on 12th September, 2018 to enable the Bench to fix the date of hearing.

The writ petition is disposed of in above terms. Order Dasti.
