Learned APP, on instructions from the Investigating Officer (IO), submitted that the IO shall complete the investigation within six weeks and file a charge-sheet and/or appropriate report before the competent authority within one week thereafter. The IO is directed to positively complete the investigation within six weeks and file a charge-sheet and/or appropriate report in accordance with law within one week thereafter before the competent authority.

In view of the aforesaid statement of the learned APP and the directions of this Court, the petitioner seeks permission to withdraw the petition. Accordingly, the petition is dismissed as withdrawn.
