Appellant insurance company has filed an appeal for reduction of the award dated 25.02.2015 passed by the Learned MACT, awarding a compensation of Rs.25,33,651/- along with interest @ 8% p.a. from the date of filing of claim petition. On appeal, the insurance company deposited entire awarded amount with up to date interest in terms of the order dated 28.04.2015 passed by this Hon'ble Court to be deposited by means of cheque drawn in the name of UCO Bank, Delhi High Court Branch. 2.

After comprehensive discussions, it is agreed between the parties that out of the deposited amount along with the accrued interest, lump sum amount of Rs.1,50,000/- shall be refunded to the appellant insurance company and balance amount along with up to date total interest shall go to The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. respondent/Claimant (s). It is made clear that the recovery rights granted by the Ld. MACT shall remain undisturbed.

In view of the above, lump sum amount of Rs.1,50,000/- be refunded to the insurance company along with the statutory amount with interest if any.

Balance amount deposited before the Registrar General of this Court along with the accrued interest be released to the respondent(s)/claimant as per the proportion of the award subject to fulfilment of all the requisite formalities.
