The present writ petition has been filed by the management assails the award dated 19.03.2018 passed by the learned Labour Court, Dwarka Courts, New Delhi in LIR No.4075/2016. Under the impugned order, the learned Labour Court allowed the claim of the respondent by directing the petitioner to pay a lump sum compensation of Rs.2,50,000/- to him.

During the pendency of the writ petition, the parties were referred to Delhi High Court Mediation and Conciliation Centre, where they have arrived at an amicable settlement, the terms whereof has been set out in the agreement dated 04.12.2019. As per the terms of the settlement agreement, a copy whereof has been placed on record, the parties have agreed that out of the amount of Rs.2,50,000/- already deposited by the petitioner before this Court, the respondent will be entitled to receive a sum of Rs.2,00,000/- along with upto date
interest accrued on the total amount, instead of Rs.2,50,000/- as awarded under the impugned award in lieu of all his claims against the petitioner. Learned counsel for the parties, therefore, jointly pray that the writ petition be disposed of in terms of the settlement agreement.

Accordingly with the consent of the parties, the impugned award is modified in terms of the settlement dated 04.12.2019. The parties will remain bound by the terms of the settlement. It is made clear that on receipt of the aforesaid amount, the respondent will have no further surviving claims against the petitioner. 4.
The writ petition alongwith the pending application is disposed of in the above terms.

As the petitioner has already deposited a sum of Rs.2,50,000/- with the Registrar General of this Court, the Registry is directed to forthwith refund a sum of Rs.50,000/- to the petitioner and release the remaining amount alongwith upto date accrued interest on the entire deposited amount in favour of the respondent. 6.
The next date of hearing i.e. 03.02.2020 stands cancelled. 7.
