This is a joint petition preferred under Section 29A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (in short „the Act‟) for extension of time. 3.

The petition bears the signature of the petitioner as well as the respondent as also their advocates.

The petition was also accompanied by the affidavits of the petitioner as well as the respondent.

To be noted, the petitioner‟s counsel is present. However, there is no representation on behalf of the respondent.

In view of the fact that this is a joint petition, I am inclined herein to dispose of the petition.

I am informed by the counsel for the petitioner that the Arbitrator O.M.P. (MISC.) 18/2018

entered upon reference on 16.2.2016 and that thereafter extension of time was granted by this Court on two occasions, i.e. on 11.8.2017 and 15.2.2018.

Counsel for the petitioner says that the matter is at the stage of evidence and, given the time and money invested in the proceedings, further extension till 16.2.2019 may be granted.

Having regard to the assertions made in the application, I am inclined to extend the time till 16.2.2019. It is ordered accordingly. 10.

The petition is disposed of in the aforesaid terms. 11.

The Registry will dispatch a copy of the order to the respondent as well as the learned Arbitrator.
