% 01.09.2016 Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 were married on 16th May, 2011 as per Hindu Rites and Ceremonies.

With the passage of time, their relations got strained and they started living separately from each other since 19th May, 2012.

On the complaint of respondent no.2, the present FIR No.1374/2014 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act was registered in police station Seema Puri against the petitioners on 24th September, 2014.

Petitioner nos.2 & 3 are the relatives of petitioner no.1.

Petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes before the Counselor, Family Court on 18th February, 2015. They have decided to part their ways, inasmuch as, their marriage has already

been dissolved by way of decree of divorce by mutual consent by Family Court, Karkardooma, Delhi on 23rd December, 2015. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Vishwendra PS Seema Puri. She submits that she has received the entire settled amount from the petitioners and is not willing to pursue the present FIR any further. It is noted that the investigations are still pending. Keeping in mind the fact that petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 have settled their disputes amicably, inasmuch as, their marriage has also been dissolved by way of decree of divorce by mutual consent, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, the present FIR No.1374/2014 under Sections 406/498A/34 IPC and Section 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act registered at police station Seema Puri is quashed.

Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous application is disposed of as infructuous.
