% 14.09.2016 At the outset, it is pointed out that there is a typographical error in the english translation of the FIR. Instead of section 498A, section 376 IPC has been typed. Learned counsel for the petitioner has carried out the correction in court under his initials.

The petitioners have filed the present petition seeking quashing of FIR No.111/2015 registered on the complaint of the complainant under Sections 498A/ 406/ 34 IPC against the petitioners.

The complainant is present in Court with her counsel. She is identified by the Investigating Officer. She has also produced her ID card, which has been shown to the Court and returned.

The parties have arrived at a settlement on 31.03.2016, which has been placed on record. Under the settlement, one property has been transferred in the name of the complainant. The complainant states that she has not been subjected to any pressure or coercion and that she has entered the settlement out of her own free will. The complainant further states that she joins the prayer for quashing of the FIR in question. Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIR in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
