CORAM:

% 06.09.2016 C.M. Nos.32650-51/2016 (exemption) Exemption is allowed subject to just exceptions. Applications disposed of.

W.P.(C) 7892/2016 & C.M. No.32652/2016 Petitioner is stated to be vending from the site opposite shop No.185, Sarojini Nagar Market, New Delhi. To substantiate his submission he has placed on record a prosecution challan which is of the year 2005 and certain other challans of the subsequent years. His submission is that he is adequately protected under Section 3(3) of the Street Vendors (Protection of Livelihood and Regulation of Street Vending) Act, 2014.

Per contra, learned counsel for the respondent submits that the prosecution challans do not create any vested right in favour of the petitioner. That apart submission is that Town Vending Committee (TVC) of respondent no.1 has since been constituted. In this view of the matter, this petition is disposed of with liberty granted to the petitioner to approach the TVC of respondent no.1 to get his grievances, if any, addressed. Order dasti.
