O R D E R

% 26.09.2018 1.

Learned counsel for the petitioner has filed a present petition impugning the communication dated 20.04.2017 whereby the petitioner was directed not to procure any kind of business till further orders and also directed to shift his franchise outlet atleast 1.4 km from any nearby post office within a period of one week of the said communication. 2.

Ms Lakshmi, the learned counsel appearing for the respondent states that by a further communication dated 17.09.2018, the petitioner has been informed that the Competent Authority has recommended that the petitioner's franchise be renewed for a further period of three years with effect from 21.12.2018. The petitioner has been further, requested to file a separate application along with duly filled and signed memorandum of agreement for renewal of the franchise outlet.

3.

In view of this statement, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks to withdraw the present petition.

4.

He further, requests that certain directions be issued to ensure that the franchise is renewed on the similar terms as the existing franchise. He submits that the petitioner apprehends that the respondent will only update the software on one computer instead of four. 5.

Considering that the petitioner seeks to withdraw the petition, it is not apposite to issue any further direction. The petitioner is at liberty to approach the respondent with his request of updating the software on four computers. Needless to state that the respondents will consider the same in accordance with their guidelines and procedures. 6.

The petition is dismissed as withdrawn with the aforesaid observations. The pending application stands disposed of. VIBHU BAKHRU, J SEPTEMBER 26, 2018 ab
