IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI

+ CRL.M.C. 1868/2017 JOGINDER SINGH & ANR ..... Petitioners Through:

Mr. M.K. Vashisht, Adv. along with petitioners in person.

versus THE STATE NCT OF DELHI & ANR ..... Respondents Through:

Ms. Meenakshi Dahiya, APP with SI Shri Narayan, P.S. Karol Bagh.

Respondent no.2 in person.

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 28.02.2018 Respondent no.2-Ms. Kanta Devi is present in Court and has been identified by SI Shri Narayan of police station Karol Bagh. She submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioners before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Tis Hazari Court on 3rd December, 2015 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion. She further submits that terms of settlement have already been complied with and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no.2 before the Mediation Centre, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 264/2005 under Sections

406/419/420/468/471/34 IPC registered at police station Karol Bagh and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Petition is disposed of in the above terms.

Dasti.
