W.P.(CRL) 2601/2016 Respondent no.4 is father of petitioner no.1. Petitioner no.1 has married the petitioner no.2 on her own free will and without the consent of respondent no.4 and other family members.

Apprehending danger to their lives from the family members of petitioner no.1, petitioners have approached this court seeking police protection. Learned additional standing counsel submits that respondent no.4 was informed by SHO PS

Gazi Pur about the present proceedings and pursuant thereof he has appeared in Court today.

SI Arun Kumar PS Gazi Pur has identified the respondent no.4.

Respondent no.4 submits that neither he nor any other family member is threatening the petitioners nor do they have any intention to cause any harm to them.

In view of this statement, present petition is not being pressed and disposed of as not pressed.
