Petitioner Through:

Mr. Rajat Malhotra, Advocate versus STATE (NCT OF DELHI) .....

Respondent Through:

Mr. Jamal Akhtar, Adv for Mr. Rahul Mehra, Standing Counsel, GNCTD with SI Vishram Meena, PS IGI Airport

CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE VIPIN SANGHI

O R D E R

% 10.11.2016 The nominal roll has been received. The same shows that the petitioner has been released on furlough on three occasions between 28.01.2016 and 18.02.2016; 07.07.2016 and 21.07.2016; 05.08.2016 and 19.08.2016. He has also been released on parole between 08.04.2016 and 06.05.2016. Thus, the petitioner has remained out of jail for about 11 weeks in the year 2016 itself.

In these circumstances, I am not inclined to grant parole to the petitioner at this stage. The petition is, accordingly, dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to apply for fresh parole/ furlough under the guidelines in the next year.
