% 23.08.2018 The petitioner has preferred the present writ petition to seek a writ of habeas corpus for production of his daughter Monika Rani, aged 21 years. The petitioner states that she went missing on 11.08.2018. He suspected that she had got married to respondent no.4 Sandeep Kumar. On advance notice, Mr. Gosain appears on behalf of Mr. Rahul Mehra for the State. He has tendered in court a status report, which is taken on record.

The daughter of the petitioner Monika Rani is present in Court with her husband respondent no.4. She states that she has got married to respondent no.4 out of her own free will and accord and without any force or coercion. She states that she wishes to reside with respondent no.4. In view of the aforesaid, no further orders are called for in the present petition.

At this stage, Mr. Gosain submits that Monika Rani and Sandeep Kumar have complained that they are being issued threats by the petitioner and his family members.

The petitioner is present in court with his wife. We have counselled them and cautioned them that in case they issue threats to Monika Rani and Sandeep Kumar or cause any harm to them, they shall be dealt with in accordance with law.

The SHO concerned is directed to ensure that surveillance is kept on the petitioner so that no harm comes to Monika Rani and Sandeep Kumar. The mobile phone of the beat constable shall be provided to them and in case they make any call in emergency, the same shall be attended to without any delay.
