HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE A.K. PATHAK

O R D E R

% 28.02.2018 Petitioner is mother-in-law of respondent no.2. It is submitted that matter was settled between the respondent no.2 and her husband, that is, petitioner's son before the Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini Courts, New Delhi on 26th February, 2016. Marriage between the petitioner's son and respondent no.2 has already been dissolved by a decree of divorce by mutual consent dated 7th October, 2016 passed by the Family Court, North West District, Rohini Courts, Delhi.

Present FIR No. 639/2015 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC against the petitioner's son has already been quashed vide order dated 10th April, 2017 passed in Crl. M.C. 1392/2017. It is submitted that respondent no.2 is not willing to pursue the FIR against the petitioner as

well and the same may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by ASI Rameshwar Dayal of police station Subhash Place. She submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed qua petitioner as well.

Keeping in mind the facts and circumstances of this case, as detailed above, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in continuing the FIR against the petitioner. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed against the petitioner as well.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
