The petitioners have filed the present petitions for issuing a writ of mandamus to the respondent No.1/Registrar, Cooperative Societies directing him to forward their names in the list of verified members for conducting a draw of lots for allotment of flats in the respondent No.3/Society, after the concurrence of the respondent No.2/DDA.

On the last date of hearing, counsel for the respondent No.1/RCS was directed to obtain instructions from the department. Today, he states that he has obtained instructions from the department to the effect that the names of both the petitioners shall be considered in the next meeting to be held by the respondent No.1/RCS at the end of June, 2017, for being made a part of the list of verified members for the respondent No.2/DDA to conduct a draw of lots for allotment of flats in the respondent No.3/Society. In view of the submission made herein above, the present petitions are disposed of with directions to the respondent No.1/RCS to ensure that a meeting takes place by the end of June, 2017 and the names of both the petitioners are duly considered for being included in the list of verified members. The decision taken in the said meeting shall be communicated to the petitioners and the respondent No.3/Society within two weeks. In the event the grievance of the petitioners still survives, they shall be entitled to seek their remedies, in accordance with law.

The petitions are disposed of.
