$~23 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + W.P.(CRL) 2550/2018 GANGA SAHAI ..... Petitioner Represented by:

Ms.Kamna Vohra, ASC for the State with Si Surender, PS Vijay Vihar
CORAM:
HON'BLE MS. JUSTICE MUKTA GUPTA
O R D E R
% 14.02.2019 1.
By this petition, the petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to find a suitable match for his son and also challenges the communication dated 26th July, 2018 whereby his application seeking parole was rejected by the Government of NCT of Delhi.
2.
Petitioner has been produced in custody.
3.
As per the nominal roll of the petitioner, the petitioner was granted parole for a period of two weeks by this Court with effect from 22nd April, 2015 however the petitioner did not surrender on 5th May, 2015 and was arrested after five months on 1st September, 2015. On the last date of hearing, petitioner was produced in custody and he stated that he jumped the parole because his brother was unwell and he had to look after him. Verification in this regard has been made by the State as per which on the W.P.(CRL) 2550/2018
death of the petitioner's brother or thereafter, petitioner was not present with the family. It is thus apparent that the plea of the petitioner is incorrect. 4.
In view of the previous conduct of the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner has already been granted furlough with stringent conditions by the Director General (Prisons), this Court finds no ground to grant parole to the petitioner.
5.
Petition is dismissed.
6.
Copy of this order be communicated to the petitioner through Superintendent Tihar, Jail.
