CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE JAYANT NATH

O R D E R

% 22.05.2017 The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submits that the value of the present matter for the purpose of pecuniary jurisdiction as fixed in court is Rs.75 lacs.

A perusal of the claim petition filed by the petitioner shows that the respondents have prayed for an award of Rs.45 lacs. The learned arbitrator had given an award of Rs.2, 04, 724/- in favour of the petitioner. Keeping in view as the matter pertains to an arbitration before Indian Council of Arbitration (in short 'ICA'), New Delhi, it is urged that appropriate court in Patiala House Courts would have pecuniary jurisdiction to try the matter. The request is allowed. The matter would be transferred to the Patiala House Courts.

The parties are directed to appear before the District Judge, Patiala House Courts on 10.07.2017. The learned District Judge will assign the matter to an appropriate court for approval.
