% 05.05.2017 The representation of the petitioner for being released on parole for a period of three months was rejected by the competent authority vide order dated 30.03.2017. The petitioner wanted to reconnect social ties and also undertake repair work of his house.
The petitioner is in jail for about more than 6 1⁄2 years and his overall conduct in jail has been satisfactory.
The petitioner had earlier been released on parole for four weeks by an order of this Court.
Though the address of the petitioner has been found to be true on verification but the wife of the petitioner, on being asked has stated that she does not want him to be released on parole as he is in the habit of abusing and beating her whenever he comes out.
Considering this stand of the wife of the petitioner, the prayer of the petitioner is rejected for the present.
The petition is dismissed.
Order be communicated to the petitioner in jail so that he mends his ways in future.
