Petitioner seeks interim bail under Section 439 of Cr.P.C. in case FIR No. 24/2017 registered under Sections 170/419/468/471 IPC at Police Station Special Cell, Delhi. Status report not filed. 2.
I have heard learned counsel for the parties and have examined the file. The petitioner is in custody since 8th April, 2017. It is informed that the petitioner is to take exams i.e LL.B.(Three Year Course) (II Semester) at Luknow Programme of Examinations May, 2017, (Annexure-2 page 16) has been placed on record. The Provisional Admit Card (Session 2016-17) (Annexure-3 page 19) has been filed. It is urged that the petitioner is to take his LL.B. Exam on various dates described in Annexure-2. It is further informed that the petitioner is not a habitual criminal and the incident took place due to his suffering from mental disorder for which he was getting treatment.

During the course of arguments, on inquiry as to who would stand surety for the petitioner, in case he is granted interim bail, learned counsel for the petitioner informed that the petitioner's father, Mr. Faridul Haq, a retired Judicial Officer presently residing at Plot No. 22, Behind Ramdal Mill, Tiwari Ganj, Tara ka Purwa, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh would stand surety for the petitioner.

In the interest of justice, and to enable the petitioner to take his LL. B. Exam as per the schedule (Annexure-2) the petitioner is granted interim bail till 25th May, 2017 on his furnishing personal bond in the sum of Rs. 50,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial court. Mr. Faridul Haq, the petitioner's father shall stand surety for the petitioner to ensure his presence/surrender after the expiry of period of interim bail.
