Pankaj Sharma v. State Of NCT Of Delhi
$~52 * IN THE HIGH COURT OF DELHI AT NEW DELHI + W.P.(CRL) 2509/2018, CRL.M.A. 30628/2018 PANKAJ SHARMA ..... Petitioner Through:
Mr. Puneet Garg, Advocate.
versus STATE OF NCT OF DELHI ..... Respondent Through:
Mr. Avi Singh, ASC for State.
CORAM:
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE NAJMI WAZIRI
O R D E R
% 24.08.2018 The petitioner's apprehension is that he will not be granted the benefit of furlough and parole, in view of the punishment undergone by him on 31.03.2016.
The learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State submits that the petition is pre-mature because the petitioner's eligibility for grant of furlough would be under the relevant guidelines i.e. "Parole/Furlough Guidelines,2010", whereunder the petitioner would be eligible for consideration of furlough after three 'Annual Good Conduct Remissions' and continues to maintain good conduct. The petitioner's last conviction was on 31.03.2016 for which he has undergone the punishment given to him. His parole application, when made, too would be considered under the criteria of the said Guidelines.
In view of the above, no further orders are required. The petition is disposed-off.
