O R D E R

% 28.08.2018 Mr.Rahul Mehra, learned standing counsel appearing on behalf of the State has tendered in Court a status report, which is taken on record. The petitioner's minor daughter has since been recovered and returned to the petitioner. Mr.Mehra states that the sister-in-law of the petitioner namely Lakshmi Devi has already been arrested.

We have interacted with the petitioner and his wife who are present in Court along with their minor daughter. They both state that their daughter was taken away by Lakshmi Devi while they were not aware of the intentions entertained by Lakshmi Devi of getting the minor daughter

married to Rajesh Kumar @ Raja at Bhagalpur. The petitioner and his wife also state that they are desirous that their daughter studies and becomes capable of maintaining herself after completing her education. They undertake to the Court that they shall leave no stone unturned to properly bring up their minor daughter so that she completes her education and to ensure that all her reasonable needs are met. The said undertaking given by the petitioner and his wife is taken on record and they shall remain bound by their statement.

To ensure the welfare of the petitioner's minor daughter we consider it necessary to direct that one lady Constable from Police Station-Paharganj in plain clothes shall visit the residence of the petitioner once every fortnight to inquire the well-being of the petitioner's minor daughter till she attains the age of majority. A record in this respect shall be maintained at the police station. In case the lady Constable finds anything amiss in this regard, the same shall be brought to the notice of this Court by moving an appropriate application.

Since the petitioner's daughter has been located and returned to him, this petition has become infructuous and is disposed of as such. VIPIN SANGHI, J I.S.MEHTA, J AUGUST 28, 2018 sr
