O R D E R

% 13.05.2015 By this petition, petitioner seeks parole on the ground of maintaining social ties. In my view, if an accused, who is in long incarceration, is released on parole it aids to his mental as well as physical well-being. Petitioner is incarceration for the last eight years. Address of the petitioner has been verified. Govt. of NCT of Delhi has rejected the application of petitioner for parole on the basis of adverse police report. It is observed that petitioner may jump the parole.

However, no ground forming such an opinion has been disclosed. In the status report also no such opinion has been expressed. A perusal of nominal roll of petitioner also indicates that in the month of May/June, 2014 he was released on parole by this Court which concession he has not misused.

Keeping in mind totality of the circumstances, it is ordered that petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the Jail Superintendent.

During the parole period petitioner shall report to SHO of police station Kalol, Post Office Balwa, District Gandhi Nagar, Gujarat once in a week, that is, on every Monday at 10:00 am. After completion of parole period petitioner shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of this order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for serving it on the petitioner and also for compliance.
