% 05.05.2017 The petitioners have approached this Court for affording protection to them at the hands of respondent Nos.2, 3 & 4. Both the petitioners are majors and have married against the wishes of the family of petitioner No.1, on 27.10.2014 at Arya Samaj Temple in Delhi. Because of the fear of respondent Nos.2, 3 & 4, the petitioners have left their own home and are wandering here and there.

Both the petitioners are present in Court.

The petitioner No.2 states that her brother who has a tainted background, has threatened them and it is because of such threat that both the petitioners are not staying in the house of petitioner No.2 which is situated in the same locality as that of the respondents. The petitioners are majors and are entitled to take their own decisions in life.

There should not be any difficulty in the petitioners pursuing their ordinary course of business in their lives. Any attempt at creating any disturbance in their lives will be viewed very seriously. The SHO of the Narela police station is directed to make arrangements for affording protection to the petitioners so that they can come back and stay in the house of petitioner No.2. The SHO shall also consider the desirability of asking a constable to visit the house of the petitioner No.2 everyday. The telephone number of two officers of the concerned police station shall be provided to the petitioners and in case there is any call by the petitioners in case of emergency/distress, necessary/prompt action shall be taken. This arrangement should continue for sometime till the dispute is settled. It may be necessary here to note that Ms.

Kamna Vohra, ASC, through her status report, submits that the respondents, when interrogated, submitted that they have now accepted the marriage and shall not create any further disturbance for the petitioners. With such observations, the writ petition is disposed of. Dasti.
