% 15.05.2015 By this petition, petitioner seeks parole on the ground of filing SLP in the Supreme Court. In my view, every convict is entitled to avail all the legal remedies as may be available to him under the law upto the highest forum by engaging a counsel of his choice.
Even Parole/Furlough Guidelines, 2010 envisages grant of parole to a convict for filing SLP in the Supreme Court.
Address of the petitioner has been verified by the State. Keeping in mind totality of the circumstances, it is ordered that petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `10,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of Jail Superintendent.
During the parole period petitioner shall report to SHO of police station Prashant Vihar (Outer District) once in a week, that is, on every Monday at 10:00 am. Petitioner shall also not leave territorial bounds of Delhi and after completion of parole period he shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent.
