O R D E R

% 17.07.2017 The prayers made in the instant petition have been perused. They read as under:

"a) Quash/set aside the impugned letter dated 7.03.2016 issued by the Respondent n.3 and directing them to accept/deposit/exchange old currency notes of the petitioner.

Or b)Direct the respondent no.2 to handover the new currency of Rs.2 lacs.

c) Pass such other and further orders as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and appropriate in the facts and circumstances of the case."

Learned counsel appearing for the respondent points out that this issue is covered by the judgment of the Apex Court in WP(C) 908/2016 Vivek Narayan Sharma Vs. Union of India wherein the Apex Court had given a direction to all High Courts not to entertain or hear any petition/proceedings on the aforenoted issues. Relevant extract of which reads as under:

We further direct that if any other Writ Petitions/proceedings are pending in any High Court, further hearing of those matters shall also remain stayed in terms of this order.

We further direct that no other Court shall entertain, hear or decide any Writ Petition/proceedings on the issue or in relation to or arising from the decision of the Government of India to demonetize the old notes of Rs.500/- and Rs.1000/- as the entire issue in relation thereto is pending consideration before this Court in the present proceedings."

Writ petition is not maintainable.

Dismissed.
