Learned counsel for the State informs this Court that in terms of the status report which the state has filed, it is brought to the notice of the Court that the petitioner is an accused in a connected FIR which is also being investigated by the EOW (Economic Offences Wing); he has been declared as proclaimed offender. He is not entitled to be heard in this matter. It is additionally pointed out that the investigation of the case has been transferred to the new investigating officer i.e., SI Bhanwar Singh to SI Surjeet Kumar of EOW.
