% 09.11.2017 Respondent no.2 has alleged in the FIR that he was present in the house on 9th July, 2015 when at about 12:30 PM, he heard some people quarrelling outside his house. When he went outside, he found petitioner was beating his sister. When respondent no.2 intervened, petitioner got infuriated and stabbed him with knife due to which respondent no.2 sustained simple injuries.

Learned counsel for petitioner submits that matter has now been settled between petitioner and respondent no.2 vide settlement deed dated 20th April, 2017, therefore, FIR No.704/2015 under Section 307 IPC registered at PS Amar Colony may be quashed. He further submits that in view of the settlement, he has no objection if the aforementioned FIR is quashed. Keeping in view the facts and circumstances as detailed above, and particularly the fact that now the parties have settled their disputes amicably, in as much as petitioner has compensated the respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No.704/2015 under Section 307 IPC registered at PS Amar Colony and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, in view of the settlement.
