This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.151/1997 under Section 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Kalkaji. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably and the petitioner and Respondent No.2 are living together happily in the matrimonial home since 1999.

Respondent No.2/ Complainant is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from her whether the matter has been settled with the petitioner amicably without fear and pressure. She has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure and she is living happily in the CRL.M.C. 3704/2016
matrimonial home since 1999.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties before Mediation Centre, Saket and the complainant is residing with petitioner in the matrimonial home happily, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings. In the interest of justice and to enable the parties to maintain their matrimonial relations, FIR No.151/1997 under Section 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at PS Kalkaji and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed. 4.
The petition is disposed of accordingly.
