This is a petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. for quashing of FIR No.20/1999 under Section 448 IPC registered at PS Sarswati Vihar. It is stated that the matter has been settled amicably between the parties vide compromise deed dated 24.09.2012.

Complainant/Respondent No.2 is present before the Court and is identified by the Investigating Officer. I have enquired from him whether the matter has been settled with the petitioners amicably without fear and pressure. He has stated that the matter has been settled without any fear or pressure.

Since the matter has been settled between the parties, no useful purpose will be served to continue with the proceedings under Section 448

IPC. In the interest of justice, FIR No.20/1999 under Section 448 IPC registered at PS Sarswati Vihar and all the proceedings arising therefrom are quashed.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
