% 29.08.2018 Respondent no.2-Rekha is present in Court and accepts notice. She has been identified by SI Dinesh of police station Aman Vihar. Petitioners are relatives of husband of respondent no.2 (complainant). They are accused in FIR No.77/2013 under sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Aman Vihar on the complaint of respondent no.2.

Husband of respondent no.2 has already been declared as proclaimed offender. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner nos. 1 to 4 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion before Delhi Mediation Centre, Rohini District Courts vide Settlement/Agreement dated 16th February, 2018. Petitioners have paid `30,000/- to respondent no.2 by way of demand draft, photocopy whereof is on record. Respondent no. 2 says that she

has no objection in case aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioners and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed qua the petitioners only.
