W.P. (Crl.) 1008/2015 Petitioner seeks parole on the ground that he has to appear in Post Graduate Diploma in Criminology and Forensic Science examination, scheduled to be held from 24th May, 2015 till 27th May, 2015 by Anamalai University. Learned Additional Standing Counsel has not disputed the fact that petitioner will be appearing in this examination. Petitioner is in incarceration for about 13 years.
It is also not in dispute that on several
earlier occasions, petitioner was granted concession of parole which he has not misused.
Accordingly, it is ordered that petitioner be released on parole from 23rd May, 2015 till 9th June, 2015, subject to his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of `25,000/- with one surety in the like amount to the satisfaction of the trial court. During the parole period petitioner shall report to SHO of the concerned police station once a week, that is, on Mondays. Petitioner shall also not leave territorial bounds of Delhi. After the completion of parole period he shall surrender before the Jail Superintendent. Writ petition is disposed of in the above terms. Copy of the order be sent to the Jail Superintendent for serving it on the petitioner and also for compliance.
