From the averments in the petition at hand and the steps taken so far during investigation, as brought out through the status report, concerning FIR No. 1486/2015, police station Ashok Nagar under Sections 420/467/468/471 IPC, it is clear that effective investigation has not been carried out. The case involves grave offences including not only fraudulent withdrawal of money from the account of the complainant/first informant school but also use of fabricated cheque leaves for such purposes. The learned additional standing counsel fairly concedes that probe would need to be handled by a superior investigation agency. In this view, with the consent of both sides, it is directed that the FIR shall be transferred by the concerned supervisory police officer to District investigation Unit (DIU) of the concerned district.
