O R D E R

% 30.11.2017 Respondent no.2 is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by ASI Satish Kumar of police station CAW Nanak Pura. Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner no.1 before the Principal Counsellor, Family Court, Saket East District, Saket Court on 15th March, 2016 of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

Petitioner no.1 has paid ` 5 lacs to the respondent towards the balance settled amount vide demand draft, photocopy whereof has been placed on record.

Respondent no.2 submits that with this payment entire settled amount stands paid and she has no objection in case FIR is quashed against the petitioner no.1 and his mother,

that is, petitioner no.2.

It is not in dispute that terms of settlement have already been complied with.

Keeping in mind that a settlement has been arrived at between the petitioner no.1 and respondent no.2 voluntarily, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 159/2009 under Sections 498A/406/34 IPC registered at Crime (Women) Cell and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms.
