BAIL APPLN. 1903/2016 Issue notice. Notice is accepted on behalf of the State. After some arguments, learned counsel for the petitioner does not press this petition but prays that the trial itself may be expedited. Considering the fact that the prosecutrix and the other independent witnesses appear to have been examined, the prosecution is directed to ensure that no adjournments are taken for leading their remaining evidence.

The trial court is directed to expedite the trial in recording of the remaining evidence within six months from the next date fixed by the trial court. If necessary, the recording of evidence shall proceed on a day to day basis. The petitioner shall not seek any undue adjournment. The trial court shall endeavour to render the decision within the next nine months. Petition stands disposed of. Dasti.
