JUDGMENT

% (ORAL) In this petition, filed from jail, the only prayer is made to direct the sentence passed in Criminal Complaints No.8483/01, 4064/01, 1601/02, 468/09 & 467/09 to run concurrently and to release petitioner on the sentence already undergone by him.

Learned counsel for petitioner draws the attention of this Court to Nominal Roll of petitioner, which indicates that he is in custody since November, 2010 and for the various offences, the unexpired portion of the sentence ranges from three months to eight months. Be that as it may.

Petitioner has been convicted in five criminal complaints under CRL.M.C. 2094/2015

Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 regarding the loan taken by him ranging from rupees five lac to nine lac. Upon hearing and on perusal of the impugned judgments, in respect of five complaints in question and the Nominal Roll of petitioner, I find no justification to direct that the sentence awarded to petitioner in these five criminal cases ought to run concurrently. This petition is accordingly dismissed.

Petitioner be apprised of this order through concerned Jail Superintendent.
