% 26.09.2016 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of the order dated 10th August, 2016 passed by the Central Information Commission (CIC), whereby the respondents were directed to provide certified true copies of information sought by petitioner through RTI application dated 26th September, 2013 with regard to requisition received from PSEs/ Government Organizations in the State of NCT of Delhi and NCR on the basis of which sponsorship orders were issued on particular dates. The petitioner who appears in person states that despite the lapse of fifteen days, respondents have not provided the information till date.

In the opinion of this Court, in the event of violation of any order passed by CIC, the petitioner has an alternative effective remedy under Section 20 of the Right to Information Act, 2005.

Consequently, the present contempt petition is dismissed with liberty to the petitioner to file appropriate legal proceedings in accordance with law.
