O R D E R

% 20.09.2016 Present contempt petition has been filed alleging wilful disobedience of order dated 23rd May 2016 passed in W.P.(C) No.4667/2016 whereby the order dated 18th April 2016 passed by NCTE and order dated 16th November 2015 passed by ERC were set aside and the matter was remanded back to the respondent ERC for further processing of petitioner's application for D.El.ED Course for the academic year 2016-2017. It is pertinent to mention that NCTE and ERC vide the aforesaid orders had rejected petitioner's application for recognition of D.EI.ED course for academic session 2016-2017 on the ground that hard copies of the application had not been filed within fifteen days in accordance with Clause 7(2)(b) of the NCTE Regulations, 2015.

Today learned counsel for the petitioner states that in pursuance to the aforesaid order, no decision on petitioner's application has been

taken till date. He also states that till date no appeal has been filed against the order dated 23rd May, 2016 disposing of W.P.(C) No.4667/2016.

Keeping in view the aforesaid facts as well as the fact that no time line had been prescribed for processing of petitioner's application for D.El.ED Course for the academic year 2016-2017, this Court directs the respondent-ERC to decide the petitioner's aforesaid application within a period of ten weeks.

With the aforesaid directions, present contempt petition stands disposed of.

Let a copy of this order be served upon the respondents by learned counsel for petitioner.
