% 21.09.2016 Disputes between the husband (petitioner no.1) and wife (respondent no.2) had led to registration of present FIR under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC at police station Kirti Nagar against the petitioner no.1 and his relatives, that is, petitioner nos. 2 to 6, on the complaint of wife. Husband and wife have settled their disputes vide Compromise Deed dated 9th March, 2016. They have decided to part their ways. First motion has already been accepted by the Family Court. It is submitted that second motion would be filed in the month of October, 2016. Respondent no.2 is present in Court and has been identified by SI Rooma Yadav of police station Kirti Nagar. Respondent no.2 admits that she has compromised the
matter with the petitioners. She admits that she has received `70,000/- out of the settled amount, that is, `1 lac. Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that petitioner no.1 will pay balance settled amount of `30,000/- to the respondent no. 2 at the time of filing of second motion. Respondent no.2 submits that she has no objection in case FIR is quashed. Keeping in mind that husband and wife have settled their disputes amicably and decided to part ways, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served in keeping them entangled in present criminal proceedings. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, FIR No. 530/2015 under Sections 498-A/406/34 IPC registered at police station Kirti Nagar and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed, subject to, however, parties complying with the terms of Compromise Deed dated 9th March, 2016.
