The aforesaid two petitions have been preferred to seek quashing of cross-FIRs! cases.

W.P.(Crl.) No.2854/2016 has been preferred by the petitioners Mamta, Mohd. Asif and Hasrat All in respect of case FIR No.660/2016 under Section 308/ 34 IPC registered at Police Station - Neb Sarai. In the said case, the complainant is respondent No.2/ Mohabbe All. In the said FIR. Mohd. Anish is one of the injured. Though he is not impleaded as a respondent and his affidavit has not been filed in this petition, the compromise deed signed by him is placed on record. Mohd. Anish is petitioner No.1 in the cross-petition, i.e. W.P.(Crl.) g No.2855/2016. The said petition has been filed by Mohd. Anish, Farjana Bano & Mohabbe All to seek the quashing of FIR No.661/2016 under Section 354/ 354B/ 308/ 34 IPC at Police Station - Neb Sarai, New Delhi on the complaint of respondent No.2 Mamta.

All the parties are present in Court and they are identified by the 1.0. These petitions have been preferred on the basis of the compromise deed dated 30.08.2016 duly signed by all the parties. The complainants in both the cases state that they withdraw their respective complaints, and the FIR registered on the basis of their respective complaints and the proceedings emanating therefrom be quashed. The parties are running shops in the neighbourhood and to maintain harmony & peace, the parties have decided to settle their disputes. The compromise has been arrived at the earliest. Charge-sheets have not been filed.

Accordingly, no useful purpose would be served in proceeding further with the FIRs in question and the proceedings emanating therefrom. The same are hereby quashed.
