% 17.08.2017 The petitioner claims relief under Section 24 (2) of Right to Fair Compensation and Transparency in Land Acquisition, Rehabilitation and Resettlement Act, 2013 on the basis of the power of attorney documents stated to have been executed in December, 2009 by one Harbhajan Singh - original land owner of certain agricultural lands at Malikpurkohi @ Rangpuri. Power of attorney document does not appear to be registered; it cannot be said to convey any title or entitlement towards the property. Besides, the notification under Section 4 was made on 27.06.1996 and the document is said to have been executed when the litigation was pending before the Courts. The petitioner has not produced any other documents to show his entitlement by way of transfer in the khatauni, etc. In these circumstances, the Court is of the opinion that the petition lacks merits and it is therefore dismissed.
