% 19.09.2018 The petitioner is facing trial in sessions case no. 696/2017 arising out of FIR No. 276/2017 under Sections 392/394/397/452/307 of Indian Penal Code, 1860 (IPC) of police station Moti Nagar with other co-accused, the allegations being that he had entered into the house of the victim, inflicted injuries on her neck with a knife in order to commit robbery. Charges have been framed against him for offence under Sections 452,392,394,397 and 307 IPC. The case is at the stage of evidence for prosecution, not even the victim having been examined so far.

Having regard to the gravity of the offence and the stage of the criminal proceedings, the view taken by the sessions court in declining release on bail by order dated 13.08.2018 is just and proper. No grounds to hold otherwise.
