% 29.10.2018 Crl. M.A. no. 34468/2018 (for condonation of delay in re-filing) Delay in re-filing is condoned. Application is disposed of. CRL.M.C. 5323/2018 and Crl. M.A. nos. 34466-67/2018 Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that petitioner has deposited `30,000/- with the Kerala Chief Minister's Distress Relief Fund. Receipt has been perused.

Respondent no. 2 Ms. Anjali Venu Gopal is present in Court along with her counsel and has been identified by SI Lala Ram of police station Lodhi Colony.

Respondent no.2 submits that she has settled the matter with the petitioner of her own free will and without any undue force, pressure or coercion.

She says that she has no objection in case FIR No. 143/2016 under Section 354 IPC registered at Police Station Lodhi Colony and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed. Affidavit of respondent no. 2 to this effect is also on record at pages 13-14. Keeping in mind the settlement arrived at between the petitioner and respondent no. 2 voluntarily, in my view, no fruitful purpose would be served to keep the criminal proceedings pending. Accordingly, in the interest of justice, aforesaid FIR and consequent proceedings emanating therefrom are quashed.

Petition is disposed of in the above terms. Miscellaneous applications are disposed of as infructuous. Dasti.
