1. A detailed status report has been filed by Mr. Sanjay Sharma, ACP District Investigation Unit ('DIU'), South-West District which is in continuation of the previous status reports filed by them.

2. This petition is by the father in regard to his son having gone missing person since 16th October 2016. After the Petitioner approached this Court, orders have been passed since 16th May 2017 and several status reports have been filed setting out the steps taken by the Respondent-State to trace the missing person.

3. The present status report listed out the steps taken by the police since the previous date. At the request of the Petitioner, a search was made for his son in and around Gurudwaras in Delhi. The photographs of the missing person have been shown to various taxi drivers, shopkeepers, auto drivers at the W.P.(CRL) 1463/2017

New Delhi Railway Station and at the IGI Airport and Wireless Transmissions messages have been flashed all over the country. A search was made at Mehandipur Balaji Temple and at the Khatu Shyam Temple in Rajasthan. Inquiries have been made at hospitals and from four of his friends whose statements have been recorded. Searches have been made in Haridwar and Rishikesh. Hue and cry notices have been affixed in various places in Delhi and in the surrounding areas.

4. Learned counsel for the Petitioner states that these status reports are merely 'cut and paste' versions of earlier status reports. The Court does not agree with his submission. The latest status report is in continuation of the earlier status reports. It lists out the steps taken in the months of January to March, 2018. The Court is satisfied that the police is making constant efforts to trace out the son of the Petitioner.

5. The Court directs that the ACP in charge of the investigation will keep the Petitioner informed at least once every four weeks as to the progress made in the investigation. He will also file periodic reports before the learned Metropolitan Magistrate ('MM') concerned in FIR No.400/2016 registered at Police Station Palam under Section 365 IPC. The petition is disposed of in the above terms.
