The petitioner filed a petition for divorce against the respondent in 2009 which is pending at the stage of the recording of the evidence. The petitioner is seeking expeditious hearing and disposal of the divorce petition. 2.

There is no appearance on behalf of the respondent despite service. 3.

The petition is allowed and considering that this case relates to divorce petition filed in the year 2009, the Family Court is directed to expedite the hearing and disposal of this petition. The learned Family Court shall endeavour to decide this petition within a period of 8 months from today.

Copy of this order be given dasti to counsel for the petitioner under the signature of the Court Master.
