% 21.11.2017 FIR No.146/2011 under section 354 IPC was registered at police station Moti Nagar on the complaint of respondent no.2 Smt, Smriti Sood.

It is alleged in the FIR that the petitioner, who is a 'tailor' by profession, had touched her daughter inappropriately. It is submitted that the matter has now been settled between the petitioner and respondent no.2 on 30th April, 2016 and, therefore, the aforesaid FIR may be quashed.

Respondent no.2 Smt, Smriti Sood is present in the Court and has been identified by SI Surendar Ahlawat of police station Moti Nagar. Respondent no.2 submits that petitioner has apologised for his conduct and, therefore, she has pardoned him. She further says that her daughter, who is presently 17 years of age, has also given instructions to convey the Court about her no objection if the

aforesaid FIR is quashed. Respondent no.2 admits having settled the matter with petitioner of her own free will, without any force or coercion and she says that she is not willing to pursue the FIR any further.

Keeping in view the above facts and in view of the settlement arrived at between petitioner and respondent no.2, in the interest of justice, FIR No.146/2011 under section 354 IPC registered at police station Moti Nagar, and the consequent proceedings emanating therefrom, are quashed.
