Having heard the petitioner, who appears in person, and looking into the facts and circumstances of the case, several grievances have been ventilated by the petitioner for cleanliness of drains, installing street lights and not to disconnect, or not to stop, the electricity supply under the guise of maintenance, etc.

For ready reference, prayers in this writ petition are as under: "1) To direct the BSES to stop power cuts in name of maintenance work in day in West Krishana Vihar, Najafgarh
and to install street lights at dark spot in petitioner colony.
2) To direct the PWD to clean the drains along Khaira road which were filled by dust suppliers and make proper flow of water in these drains including all drains in Najafgarh and to pass appropriate orders against PWD for not complying order dated-09.03.2016 passed by Hon'ble Chief Justice Bench in WPC-1485/2016.
3) Compensate the appellant for harassment of Rs one lakh.
4) Award any other relief Hon'ble High Court want deemed fit in the circumstances of the case."

Having heard the petitioner who appears in person, and counsels for the respondents, and also looking to the facts and circumstances of the case, it appears that the respondents are already cleaning the drains etc. as submitted by them. Nonetheless, they have submitted that if there is any further need of cleanliness, the same will be done by the respondents in accordance with the law, rules, regulations and Government policy applicable to the facts of the present case. Similarly, for disconnection of the supply of electricity, they will act as per the rules and regulations, or as per the established procedure for the maintenance of the electricity supply. 4.
We see no need to give further detailed directions as to how to maintain drains or electricity supply lines. If the need arises, they can always disconnect the supply of electricity for maintenance work. Cleanliness of drains is a constant phenomenon, hence we see no reason to give any further directions, but suffice it to say that the respondents shall continue to do their work in accordance with the law, rules, regulations and
Government policy.
