CORAM:

HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ASHUTOSH KUMAR

O R D E R

% 17.05.2017 Crl.M.A.8147/2017 Exemption allowed, subject to all just exceptions. Application is disposed of.

W.P.(CRL) 1473/2017 The petitioner was released on parole for a period of one month for the purposes of admission of his son in school on 20.03.2017. Thereafter the petitioner surrendered on the expiry of the period of parole but before that, he had moved an application for extension of parole before the competent authority for the reason that he was required to take care of his father who had been advised to undergo Cataract Surgery. The operation was scheduled for 28.04.2017.

Taking into account all the facts and circumstances, the competent

authority rejected the request of the petitioner for extension of the parole which was granted earlier.

The present petition therefore would not be maintainable and the petitioner would be required to apply before the competent authority afresh. In this view of the matter, this writ petition is disposed of with the liberty to the petitioner, in case so advised or is felt necessary by him, he could approach the competent authority for the needful.
