By this application the petitioner seeks early hearing of the writ petition on the ground that his mother has since passed away. 2.

Issue notice.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State accepts notice. She has no objection to the early hearing of the writ petition being granted. 4.

Application is disposed of preponing the date of writ petition and the writ petition is taken up for hearing today.

W.P.(CRL) 1502/2017 1.

The petitioner had initially sought parole for three months to look after his ailing mother, however, during the pendency of the present petition W.P.(CRL) 1502/2017

the mother of the petitioner has since passed away on 3rd December, 2017. 2.

Learned Additional Standing Counsel for the State states that on the death of the mother of the petitioner, the petitioner was granted custody parole to attend the last rites on 4th December, 2017. 3.

Considering the fact that the mother of the petitioner has passed away and the petitioner was earlier also granted parole and furlough when he surrendered in time, this Court deems it fit to grant parole to the petitioner. It is, therefore, directed that the petitioner be released on parole for a period of four weeks from the date of his release on his furnishing a personal bond in the sum of ₹25,000/- with one surety of the like amount, subject to the satisfaction of the Superintendent, Tihar Jail. 4.

Petition is disposed of.

Date of 29th January, 2018 is cancelled.
