1. The Petitioner's refund claim of Rs.47,35,069/- has been pending since 13th April, 2015.

2. Learned counsel for the Respondents wants some more time for verification.

3. It is pointed out by learned counsel for the Petitioner/Assessee that since the assessment order was passed on 17th March, 2015 in respect of Assessment Year 2013-2014, there is no justification whatsoever for granting more time to the Respondents for verifying the refund order. The Court agrees that there was sufficient time available to the Respondents for verification. The request for more time for this purpose is declined. WP(C) No.4379 of 2017

4. It is directed that not later than two weeks from today, the refund order will be issued and the refund amount, together with interest thereon, will be credited directly to the Petitioner's account within two weeks after the passing of the refund order. If there is any non-compliance, it would be open to the Petitioner to seek appropriate remedies in accordance with law.
